A MAJOR road in Leeds was partially closed this afternoon after a collision.
The A647 Armley Road was closed both ways and there was slow traffic, due to an accident which happened on the stretch of the A647 between Pasture View and Branch Road.
The accident was first reported shortly after 2.30pm.
Public transport was also affected, with First West Yorkshire tweeting that the 72, X6 & X11 bus services were diverting via Armley Ridge Road, Town Street, Canal Road and Pickering Street.
The accident has since been cleared and the road has now reopened.
The seriousness of the incident and the full circumstances are yet to be established, and West Yorkshire Police has been contacted for comment.
