Rail services in Bradford and other parts of West Yorkshire are continuing to be hit hard by "rising sickness levels" among train crew.
Both Northern and TransPennine Express (TPE) have announced reduced timetables due to low staff availability, mainly caused by the Omicron variant of Covid-19.
The service between Bradford Interchange and Huddersfield, via Halifax, appears to be among the numerous Northern services to have been reduced in frequency.
Previously, one train has operated in each direction every hour throughout the day, but that has been amended to one train every two hours for much of this week.
Northern said: "An amended and reduced timetable is in operation on some routes due to the impact of Covid and the availability of train crew. Journey planners have been updated. Make sure you check before you travel."
Meanwhile, a statement from TPE said: "Due to a shortage of available train crew as a result of rising sickness levels, predominately driven by the Omicron variant of Covid-19, along with industrial relations issues and the Government’s advice to work from home where possible - we will be introducing an amended timetable from Monday 10th January 2022.
"This amended timetable will provide a stable and reliable service for those customers who are travelling with TransPennine Express.
"Until the amended timetable comes into operation, services across our network over the coming days may be subject to delays and short-notice cancellations due to the lack of available staff."
