Two cars were involved in an accident last night, with one casualty taken to hospital.
Fire and Rescue services were called to a scene at Church Lane junction on Huddersfield Road, Mirfield at around 6 pm due to an accident.
A person had to be excavated from one of the vehicles and was taken to hospital after being released from the vehicle.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service tweeted: "2 cars involved with 1 person trapped.
"Extrication carried out by fire service personnel and casualty transported to hospital by ambulance.
"Appliances from Mirfield and Dewsbury attended."
