RESIDENTS from Burley-in-Wharfedale are invited to get involved and help to take down the beautiful Christmas lights in the village this week.
Volunteers gathered at the end of last year to put them up, but now Tom Sumner, organiser of the switch on asks for anyone who would like to to help to take them down, to get in touch.
Tom Sumner, MBE said: "Burley Community Trust would once again like to thank everyone involved in putting up a fantastic Christmas Lights display in the village and park for our fortieth anniversary year.
It is now time to take them all down! Leaving the lights on in the park was such a success last year we will be repeating that again this year, some very welcome and cheerful lighting through the dark winter months."
Volunteers will be working this Thursday, Friday and Saturday 6th, 7th and 8th January.
