This shocking footage shows the moment drinkers had a lucky escape after a car ploughed through a pub front garden and sent debris flying.
The terrifying incident took place at the Hare and Hounds, a quiet family pub in Skelmersdale, Lancashire, at around 11pm on Monday.
In the footage, a dark blue Volvo estate car mounts the nearby pavement before crashing through the pub's wooden planters and picnic tables, leaving a scene of utter carnage.
Three men who are stood just outside the front door to the pub need to jump for cover as the vehicle flies towards them, missing one by a matter of feet.
Once the car comes to a stop, the driver and his passenger can be seen staggering out before they both flee on foot in different directions.
Following the incident, Lancashire Police said they were “appealing for information” about the driver of the vehicle, who so far hasn’t been identified.
A spokesperson said: “We are appealing for information after a road traffic collision at the Hare and Hounds on Ormskirk Road in Skelmersdale.
“It occurred around 11pm on Monday. We are keen to identify the driver of the car.”
