Snow arrived in parts of West Yorkshire as Christmas Day drew to a close, continuing into the early hours of Boxing Day.
The heavier snowfall hit higher areas of the county, with trans-pennine roads affected.
By 1am on Boxing Day, the accumulation of snow had forced the closure of two lanes of the eastbound M62 around junction 22 at Denshaw, while westbound lane closures were also in place around junction 23 at Huddersfield by 1.30am.
Shortly before 2am, the motorway was 'being treated' to try to clear the snow between junction 24 at Ainley Top and junction 21 at Milnrow.
By 9am on Boxing Day, police had dealt with a number of incidents on M62, including at junction 25 Brighouse and 26 at Chain Bar, stating that the emergencies were 'mainly down to road conditions.'
There were reports of a good covering of snow in parts of Bradford district and Kirklees.
Bradford Bulls officials were keeping a close eye on the condition of the Odsal pitch but, as of 9.30am, the Boxing Day clash with Halifax was still on.
Earlier, Bradford Council had warned people to 'take precautions if you're planning to be out and about' - stating that snow could hit higher parts of the Bradford district on Christmas Day, with all parts of the district potentially affected on Boxing Day morning.
