POLICE spotted a man walking round a city centre carrying a samurai sword.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police's Operation Jemlock Team - the force's dedicated initiative for tackling violent and knife crime - arrested a male in the centre of Leeds on December 23.
It was reported he was walking round the streets with the pictured weapon.
Officers arrested him on suspicion of possession of a weapon.
He was also detained on suspicion of possession of a class B drug with intent to supply.
A spokesperson for the Jemlock team said yesterday: "Last night a male was said to be walking about Leeds City Centre with the below weapon.
"Jemlock unit detains him and he is arrested for possession of offensive weapon and PWITS class B."
