THE jingle bells are certainly rocking in Windhill, Wrose and Bolton Woods this Christmas, with Santa and his magical sleigh doing a tour of the area over three nights.
On Tuesday, Santa visited the Owlet Club bringing Christmas delight to a party attended by primary school aged children.
Later in the evening he visited Bolton Woods with his glowing sleigh.
One local resident said: “It really brought joy to kids and adults alike.”
Yesterday Santa and his sleigh visited The West Royd and Leeds Road area in Windhill and Cote Farm at Thackley.
The final leg of Santa's tour is today when he calls in at Wrose Road and other local streets.
The organiser, Liz Rowe, who is the prospective Labour Party candidate for Windhill, Wrose and Bolton Woods in the May 2022 local elections, said: “Lots of other areas have similar events running at this time of year and I really wanted to bring some Christmas cheer to the area, especially with all the talk of impending lockdowns.
"We have been taking donations on the way around and a Crowdfunder has been set up to raise funds, so we can look at running this event every year for generations to come.”
