A REST home in Riddlesden could be demolished to make way for housing.
A planning application to re-develop the site currently occupied by Riddlesden Rest and Convalescent Home has been submitted to Bradford Council by AHA Property Investment.
The plans call for the existing single storey building, at the junction of Carr Lane and Southfield Avenue, to be flattened and five, two-bed houses built in its place.
There would be eight parking spaces on the site for future residents.
Bradford Council plans to build £9.3m care home to replace two centres which will close
The application says: "The styling would be to match the traditional characteristics associated with the surrounding area.
"The existing natural stone boundary and established hedges are to be retained, helping screen the proposal from the public highway and adjacent residential dwellings."
A decision on the application is expected in February.
