A FLURRY of people dressed in Santa costumes are expected to make their way through Bradford city centre this weekend, for the city's first ever Santacon.
The event is being put on by local bar owners, Steve Le Shaw of Al Jukes bar, and James Brunskill who owns Boar and Fable on North Parade.
The pair came up with the idea after a trip to San Francisco together a few years back.
Steve said: "When we were over in the US, we found ourselves at a Santacon. There were just hundreds of people doing bar crawls dressed as Santa.
We always said we were going to do it as a bit of a laugh and now feels like the right time. We've invited everyone and anyone, we've got a couple of Santa hats if people don't want to fully dress up.
The idea is for it to be a 'thing' as time goes on, and get every bar in the area to be part of it."
Steve added that it is being done on a Sunday to ensure hospitality workers can attend.
It will start at the Boar and Fable on North Parade at 4pm on Sunday, 19 December, and finish at Al Jukes bar for Christmas cocktails and festive music.
