A NEW 'instagrammable' beauty salon is set to open in Bradford next week.
The picture-perfect salon called Sisterhood, will open its doors inside the historic tunnels of Sunbridgewells, in the city centre on Monday, December 20.
The owners are two Bradford-born sisters who decided to 'take the plunge' to follow their dreams, leaving their law and finance careers behind them.
The salon will offer beauty treatments including eyelash extensions and eyebrow lamination, with the prospects of hiring a nail technician and a make-up artist.
Co-Owner, Meem said they have both been doing 'beauty bits' part-time for a few years, but now they have decided to "bite the bullet" and make it their full-time jobs.
Meem added: "Beauty is just something that we both enjoy, and we both believe that you should do what you enjoy and make a career out of it, so we thought let's go for it. It was one of those ideas you have in the middle of the night.
"We had a sisters movie night and thought oh let's open a business, and it just went from there really. We found the shop and we loved it."
The sisters only thought of the idea in October, and have spent a month doing the shop up.
Meem said: "It has all happened really quick but we get on really well together, so it worked really well, we've done everything inside ourselves, my sister Zara has done all the painting and I've chosen the flooring, so it's been a joint effort, we've really enjoyed it."
Meem said the shop is her sister's vision as she is 'big on investing in Bradford' but found that every time she went into town she said "there's just nothing there for Instagram or that looks nice" so they've decided to make it the "boujiest salon in Bradford."
The sisters also want to help Bradford's economy by offering employment opportunities to others and have made a space for a make-up artist and nail technician to rent a chair.
She added: "We think there's so much potential in Bradford. There's so many salons in Leeds and we normally go out of Bradford to go over there so we thought why not offer a similar thing here."
A soft launch party event will take place on Saturday 18, December where they will invite people in to have a look, and see what treatments are on offer.
