Members of the newly-formed Phoenix Art Club will soon be drawing on a donation from the Yorkshire Building Society.
The Phoenix Art Club, set up last September to provide access to art tutoring for elderly and disabled Bradford residents, has received £180 from the Society's Community Investment Fund.
The Society has donated £180 to the club to buy drawing easels for use in the class. Geoffrey Rose, chairman of the club, said he was delighted to have the support.
He said: "The Phoenix Art Club aims to engage with the local community through art. As well as our weekly classes led by a professional art tutor, our members also have the chance to join excursions to galleries, to contribute their work to an annual show and to join regular lectures and discussions."
The club meets on Monday mornings and afternoons at the Mechanics Institute in Eccleshill and is open to anyone who would like to join in.
Anyone interested can contact Geoffrey Rose on (01274) 638055.
