WINDOWS created in Sweden will form part of the latest reveals for the Saltaire Living Advent Calendar.
Running since 2006, the Saltaire Living Advent Calendar is a much-loved festive event, bringing Christmas cheer to the residents of the UNESCO World Heritage Site village, as well as the thousands of followers on social media, with its quirky festive window designs in picturesque settings.
On Friday, December 17, four ‘hosted’ windows created by partners from the UK and beyond will be revealed.
For the third year, Rydals Museum (formerly a Mill) in Sweden have created a window for the event, which will open at 16 Ada Street. Sponge Tree, regular collaborators with Saltaire Inspired, are also creating a window, which will light up at 12 Caroline Street.
A fourth window, by Stromness Community Development Trust, will light up at 6 Lower School Street.
