Bradford City's game at Rochdale this afternoon has been called off, and amateur rugby league has also been hit by the bad weather.
The Spotland pitch has been left waterlogged after the heavy rain in recent days.
Rochdale groundstaff had worked through the night to try to make the pitch playable, but referee Nigel Miller went to the ground early for a cursory inspection and ruled that there was no way the game could go ahead.
Meanwhile, all amateur rugby league matches in the Bradford district scheduled for today have been cancelled due to the bad weather.
