People in Bradford are being urged to don their walking boots in the Yorkshire Dales to raise cash for the British Red Cross.

The charity is staging a sponsored Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge on Saturday, July 12.

Entry to the event - which takes in Pen-y-ghent, Whern-side and Ingleborough - costs £10.

Rachel Olney, for the British Red Cross, said: "This is a fantastic walk and although it is tough in places it's really rewarding when you finish.

"The views at the top of each of the three peaks are absolutely stunning and not to be missed. It is going to be a great day and the money raised will make a real difference to people's lives."
