A BRADFORD restaurant is holding an open mic night to mark the festive period.
On Saturday, December 11, Yam Spice restaurant will be hosting the event, where they are hoping people will get on the stage and perform.
Kofi Amoateng, who is hosting the event, wants to spread the Christmas spirit with good music and food.
Mr Amoateng said: “Nothing goes together better with food than music and we want people to come and have fun.
“People can perform whatever they like, whether it’s a song, poetry or even a dance.”
Food will be discounted on the evening, with free taster items off the menu, such as Puff Puff’s which resemble doughnuts and Chin Chin’s which are similar to scones.
The restaurant, which offers African and continental food, hopes to bring in a wide range of people.
The owner wants to give back to the community through the Citizen Coin app, which they urge attendees to download.
“We want people to come enjoy themselves, try different foods and build relations with new communities.
“This night is about coming together and celebrating this festive period.
The open mic will last between 7:30 and 9:30 pm and everyone is welcome to attend.
