TWO schools in the Bradford district will be partially closed today.
Bradford Alternative Provision Academy Central and Iqra Academy will both be closed today, according to a notification on Bradford Council's emergency schools closures alert.
Bradford Alternative Provision Academy Central is partially closed due to a heating failure at its Jesse Street site. The school is closed to all of its Jesse Street pupils. But the school’s Aireview site remains open.
The school says engineers are working hard to restore the heating to the site and parents will be kept informed via text of its reopening.
Meanwhile, Iqra Academy, Drummond Road, Manningham, will reopen today to pupils in nursery, reception, years one, two, six and its Busy Bees.
But the school says engineers have been unable to full restore the site’s heating, so the school will remain closed to years three, four and five.
Work will continue online via Teams video for pupils in Years three, four and five.
