SCHOLEMOOR Beacon, a local charity that runs a community centre and sports ground in the heart of the Scholemoor estate in Bradford, were delighted to be awarded a grant of £12,056 from the Morrisons Foundation.
The funding boost will help the charity to tailor a range of activities to help people connect, be active, learn new skills including.
They include a monthly wellbeing café for older people with afternoon tea, dancing, and singing, as well as weekly sessions for isolated and offer creative arts sessions for young people from the local area.
Susan Moreland, Centre Manager at Scholemoor Beacon said: “The funding from the Morrisons Foundation will make a huge difference for the Scholemoor community and we will use it to promote wellbeing for all.”
