We all know that Peter Thorne is a class act and it was great to see him get his reward with a hat-trick.

You can see he's got obvious qualities but we've probably not created much for him this season.

But as he showed against Notts County, give him the chances and he will put them away.

Thorney holds the ball up so well and has a lot of experience - and he's shown on the few occasions we've given him chances that he has the quality to finish them off.

Having doubled his goal tally for the season, hopefully last week can be a springboard for us to create a lot more for him and I'm sure he will reap the rewards.

I think Thorney and Baz have looked good together up front. You wouldn't put them together as an obvious strike partnership because of the way they play but scoring three goals shows that it worked.

It's strange we've not had many convincing wins over the last few years, especially at home, but it goes down to taking chances and against Notts County we certainly did that.

I wouldn't say we were outstanding but it was a good, solid performance. Everyone did their jobs in a deserved victory and we made them look very average.

That's three wins out of four now so we are getting there. They might have been against teams that we would expect to beat but that hasn't always been the case with us.

If we can keep the run going then there might be some life left in this season yet.

It's always a good dressing room after a good win and it's nice to feel part of it again.

I've been coming in this week after the operation and it's enjoyable being around the lads. A few days at home was enough for me - it's more peaceful back at the club!

I've been able to start a bit of rehab work, doing some really light weights and a bit on the bike, but I've got to build up my thigh again before I can look to do anything more.

It's amazing how quick you lose the muscle from not doing anything and it's very noticeable which of my legs has not been working.
