IT was an evening of glitz and glamour as people came together last night to celebrate this year’s Retail, Leisure & Hospitality Awards.
The awards, run by the Telegraph & Argus in partnership with Bradford BID and The Broadway, saw the shopping centre transformed for the celebration.
Huge cheers erupted following a stunning performance from the Dixons Music Primary choir before the awards got underway.
The evening, which was hosted by former BBC Look North presenter Harry Gration, was even more special after the huge challenges those working in the sector faced because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The night heard inspirational stories of businesses and people who went the extra mile - whether it was through co-ordinating food packages and support for those in need to coming up with innovative ways to survive the storm.
Steve Lowe, Commercial Director at Local IQ Bradford, said: “It was great to be back after a two-year gap to what was a fantastic night under the festive lights in The Broadway.
The retail, leisure and hospitality sector has had to adapt and change to survive, and it was lovely to be celebrating those that had excelled this past 12 months.
“It was also fitting to have the NHS vaccination team at the awards as our guests, a great moment when we thanked them for all they do.
“Awards always need the support from sponsors and I want to thank our sponsors once again for their support, also a huge well done to Ian Ward and The Broadway team and to Jonny Noble and the BID team without them the awards would not have happened. I am already looking forward to year’s awards!"
Here are all the winners – don’t miss Thursday’s Telegraph & Argus which will feature a special 16-page supplement.
