BRADFORD Irish Society’s next ‘trad’ music event is being held on Sunday, November 14.

Launched in August at Jacobs Well, the special nights take place on the second Sunday of the month.

Trad sessions, featuring a number of musicians performing on flutes, fiddles, accordions, banjos and other traditional instruments, are a popular pastime at authentic Irish pubs, and the Bradford Irish Society was hosting regular nights at the Brick Box Rooms on Ivegate before that bar closed permanently during the pandemic.

The new venue at Jacobs Well has more space for musicians and singers to join in, and the potential for impromptu outdoor performances when the weather permits. The ‘music event is from 2pm on November 14.
