You can now get your booster vaccine from walk-in sites across Bradford as the NHS urges people to ‘grab-a-jab’.

Hundreds of sites across England are taking part in the campaign as the roll-out to 12-15 year old's continues.

Almost everyone who is registered with a GP lives within 10 miles of a walk-in clinic and the NHS walk-in finder website lists every place that is available.

It comes amid warnings from health officials about the "challenging" months ahead.

Who is eligible?

You do not need to be registered with a GP to use a walk-in site.

A first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine is being offered to children aged 12-15 as well as those aged 16 and over.

You can also use the sites to get your second jab - providing you are eligible and eight weeks have passed since your first vaccine.

Meanwhile the booster programme is eligible to those who got their second dose six months ago.

Booster eligibility is also limited to those who are aged 50 or over and those aged 16 and over with a health condition that puts them at high risk.

If this applies to you, you will be sent a letter reminding you about your booster jab - take this letter or any letter from your GP or consultant about your health condition to any walk-in vaccination site.

If you do not receive a letter but think you’re eligible, contact your GP surgery.

Frontline health and social care workers aged 16 and over can also get a booster dose from a walk-in site.

Dr Nikki Kanani, GP and deputy lead for the NHS covid-19 vaccination programme, said: "The booster is not just nice to have – it is really important protection ahead of what we know will be a challenging winter. So if you are eligible, please do check the site finder and go get your jab."
