Fire crews rescued a family from their car after it became stranded in deep mud today.
The incident occurred off North Dean Avenue, in Braithwaite, Keighley, at around 12.40am.
The BMW estate car carrying a couple with young children became bogged down in the deep mud.
The couple had apparently spent several hours attempting to free the vehicle themselves before calling for assistance.
Firefighters attached a winch to the car and were able to pull it from the mud.
A spokesman said: "It is not the kind of thing we would usually do but there were small children in the car who were very distressed."
