Police are urgently appealing for information about a missing 19-year-old Baildon man.

Gavin Terry has not been seen since last Friday, and police are growing increasingly concerned.

Mr Terry, a student at Leeds Metropolitan University, was last seen in the Revolution nightclub on Call Lane, Leeds, between midnight and 1am.

Police have made numerous attempts to contact him on his mobile phone but have so far been unsuccessful.

Underwater Units are searching the nearby River Aire. Det Supt Paul Taylor, from the homicide and major enquiry team, said: "We still need people to come forward who may have seen or heard from Gavin. Every hour that passes we, and Gavin's family and friends, are becoming increasingly concerned.

"It was his mum's birthday on Saturday and she did not hear from him."

Mr Terry is described as white, about 6ft, medium build, with light ginger hair.

He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with a pattern on the front, blue jeans and black shoes. Police are asking for any businesses that may have CCTV that covers these areas or anyone with information to contact them on 0845 6060606.
