Bradford Council is to write to Post Office bosses to lodge a formal complaint over plans to close four branches in Keighley and Ilkley.
Those earmarked for closure - at Bradford Road, Stockbridge, East Morton, Highfield in Belgrave Road, Keighley, and Leeds Road in Ilkley - were announced in November.
During the six week consultation process, the Council has held two meetings and sent a questionnaire to all franchises.
It also opened two public comment books in Keighley and Ilkley Town Halls and asked for an analysis to be carried out on what impact the closures would have on the relevant local communities.
As the consultation period ends on Thursday, the Council's executive agreed this afternoon to formally oppose all four of the announced closures.
The closures are part of Post Office proposals to shut 2,500 sub post offices around the country, and a decision on these four is expected in the first few weeks of February.
Bradford will be dealt with separately and consultation on possible closures there will begin in May.
