Growing up in East Bowling, he was one of four children born to Yaser Malik and Trisha Malik.

Malik issued a denial to TMZ, while People magazine reported the couple had split.

Both Malik and Hadid have since confirmed the split and asked for privacy.

The music star said he had a “huge amount of respect and adoration” for Gigi Hadid in a statement on Twitter.

He added the 22-year-old “has such an incredible soul”.

Hadid shared a separate statement saying she was “forever grateful for the love, time and life lessons” her and Malik enjoyed.
