ALTERATIONS to the redevelopment of a city centre shop building have been approved by Bradford Council.
Earlier this year an application to transform 71-75 Kirkgate into a new retail and residential development was approved.
The plan would see the large shop unit, most recently used as an arts hub, converted into two smaller shops.
Two extra storeys would be added to the building, creating 10 apartments on the upper floors.
Union given permission to convert empty city centre shop into new offices
More recently applicant Mr Aslam applied to amend these plans so the ground floor would include three shop units.
These changes have now been approved, with planning officers saying: "This proposal secures development that improves the economic, social and environmental conditions in the Bradford District, by supporting the renewal and regeneration of an urban area and introducing a further retail use."
