This was the scene on Woodhead Road at noon today.
A MAN was pronounced dead at the scene of a car crash yesterday.
The incident happened at around 2.35pm on Wednesday when a grey Alfa Romeo Giulietta was in collision with a white Mercedes CLA 200 AMG on the A6024 Woodhead Road, Holmfirth.
The Alfa Romeo driver, a male in his sixties, sadly died at the scene.
The Roads Policing Team is investigating the fatal road traffic collision and is asking for anyone who witnessed it, or the movements of either vehicle immediately prior to it, to contact them on 101 or via the West Yorkshire Police website.
Anyone with dash cam footage that may assist is also urged to make contact. The log reference is 0956 of 27 October.
