It's Black Cat Appreciation Day and there are 5 black cats at RSPCA Bradford who are looking for a home to call their own.
For years black cats have had a negative reputation having been associated with Halloween, witches, spells and even worse, bad luck.
The years of rumours and superstitions have not died down and all these beautiful felines want is someone to love them and not call them bad luck…
Can you give these 5 black cats a home?
Tommy, Male
3 years old
Tommy is a shy boy looking for a home where he can be loved. He would benefit from an adult only home where he is the only pet. He loves Dreamies, and he loves to explore his fort, so Tommy would need plenty hidey holes in his new home.
Once settled into his new home, Tommy would like the opportunity to explore outside, so a home away from busy roads and railway lines would be perfect for him.

Dexter, Male
3 years old
Dexter would be able to live with a calm, cat-savvy dog as he has previously lived with a dog before. He is a shy boy who is still adjusting to life in the cattery and would prefer a quiet home away from busy roads and railway lines.

Chelsea, Female
13 years old
Chelsea is a sweet natured lady looking for affection and fuss. She loves having her chin scratched and will chat away to you.
As she is over 10 years old, Chelsea can be adopted on the Elderly Animal Rehoming Scheme.

Lance, Male
16 years old
Lance is looking for a quiet, pet free home, where someone is around most of the day to keep him company. He loves to explore the outdoors so would need somewhere away from busy roads and railway lines.
Lance can also be adopted on the Elderly Animal Rehoming Scheme.

Millie, Female
14 years old
Millie loves fuss and attention and will curl up on your lap for cuddles. She would love a quiet home where someone is around most of the day for her to get attention. A home with no other pets would be best for Millie, and she could live with older, cat savvy children. She would also love a garden to explore in.
Millie can be adopted on the Elderly Animal Rehoming Scheme.
