An block of flat has been targeted by arsonists for the second time in less than a week.
Rags soaked in flammable liquid were lit and put through letterboxes and around doors on the sixth floor in Thorold House, Fairhaven Green, Idle, Bradford.
Smoke alarms were triggered at about 2.15am yesterday, alerting firefighters from Idle, Rawdon and Shipley.
No one was hurt and there was minimal damage to the two flats.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said they were treating the incident as arson and would be liaising with the fire service.
He said in addition to the ignited rags being placed around the building, chewing gum had been stuck on front-door peepholes so people inside could not see what was going on in the hall.
Last Thursday, at 2am, a middle-aged couple in a first-floor flat were left shaken up after a burning rag was shoved through their door.
