The 31-year-old man who was attacked in the street in a suspected robbery in Keighley on Sunday morning has died overnight in hospital.
Three people, a 31-year-old man, a 22-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman, who were arrested on suspicion of assault and robbery following the incident in Oakworth Road, Keighley, at 1.45am on Sunday, remain in custody this morning.
The man, who has not yet been named, had been rushed to hospital suffering serious head injuries.
A post-mortem will take place later today.
Police have launched a major investigation following the alleged attack.
They are appealing for anyone who was in the Oakworth Road area between 1.30am and 2am on Sunday to contact them.
Police specifically need to speak to the driver of a small, dark blue hatchback car which stopped at the scene, and a blonde woman who administered first aid to the man on Oakworth Road. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the incident room on (01274) 373 635.
