Bradford comedian Ben Schofield will be one of the three comics to launch the first Comedy Store-style venue in Skipton next week.
Ben, who has been on the comedy circuit since 2001, is a full-time comedian whose observational comedy has been described as "scatologically cerebral".
He said: "I got into it as a result of a bet when I was at a comedy night in Bradford and I glibly told my mates I could do better, and they challenged me to have a go."
Ben has appeared on television, and has regular spots throughout the region and performs nationally.
Promoter Jym Harris, of Keighley, said: "These are professional comedians - not hobby comics - they are paid to make people laugh and they are great acts."
Others on the bill at Skipton Town Hall on Thursday, January 24, are Dave Twentyman and Sean Moran.
