Fairbank returned to the top of the T&A League when they beat basement dwellers Abundant Life 6-1.

The match was played in difficult conditions but was one of only three which managed to beat the wet weather.

Mohammed Ismael notched a brace and further goals came from Tufail Ahmed, Naveed Hussain, Kumran Hussain and a deflected goal from Mazar Iqbal. Life's only consolation was in the form of an own goal.

Bradford All Stars visited Lidget Green and kept up their challenge to the top two with a 2-0 victory.

Both teams tried to play football despite the harsh elements but, in a match of few chances, it was not until the 65th-minute that the deadlock was broken when Ahsnan Naveed rifled home a superb free-kick from 25 yards.

The home team had one or two half-chances to reply but Naveed wrapped up the points when he slotted home a penalty in the 75th minute.

Mujahid Malik and Liam Charles gave terrific performances for Bradford Arms in their 3-1 win at home to All Nations at Cathedral College.

The home team created most of the chances in the first half and it was no surprise when they scored first after 25 minutes through Scott Metcalfe.

Ryan Metcalfe then hit a superb second to give the hosts a two-goal lead at the break. The visitors struck back early in the second half but Chris Humphries scored from the spot to seal the points.

Former leaders IMS Celtic's visit to Smiling Mule was a victim of the weather, as was the Ventnor Youth versus Ravenscliffe match, which was abandoned just after half-time with the visitors leading 2-0.
