A TV presenter has backed Bradford in its bid for the City of Culture 2025.
Kirstie Allsopp, co-host of Channel 4’s Location, Location, Location, took to social media to support the district’s bid after she co-starred in a documentary film promoting the Bradford district, which premiered in 2007.
Her chapter - Relocation Bradford - was shot in the district in 2005 and promotes the benefits of buying property in Bradford.
It also featured her TV co-presenter Phil Spencer, who examined some of the area's best features for the film’s opening chapter - titled Discover Bradford - of a Bradford Council promotional video.
The DVD also includes a house price update, a look at future regeneration projects and a look at Bradford's cultural offerings.

She tweeted: “You are my choice, I can’t wish you enough luck.
“I loved my time working to promote Bradford and I think you would do so much for 2025 #Bradford.”
In reply, Bradford 2025 tweeted: “Thanks so much for the support Kirstie Allsopp – glad you enjoyed your time in Bradford!”
Bradford is one of eight locations to make it to the longlist for the accolade, which also includes Southampton and Cornwall among others.
The longlisted places must submit final bids in January 2022. Up to four places will be shortlisted in March 2022 and the winner will be announced in May 2022.
The prize will place the winning city at the forefront of the UK’s cultural spotlight in 2025.
