ALL ARRIVA Yorkshire buses are now fitted with an anti-viral filter which helps to clean the air on board
A Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) filter has been installed in all vehicles. The filter works in conjunction with the heater and re circulation heater / air conditioning system, helping to clean and purify the air. When airborne particles carrying Covid-19 pass through HVAC filters the virus is eliminated due to a virus killing additive built into the specially designed filter.
Area Managing Director Patrick Sibley said “We are delighted this piece of kit is fitted on all of our Yorkshire fleet. The anti-virus filter will make travelling on our buses even safer and cleaner which is very important to us as we continue to ensure our passengers and staff are safe. The HVAC filter is currently being rolled out across all Arriva buses across the UK.”
Another feature currently being added to the Yorkshire fleet are blockers which stop windows from closing fully, allowing improved ventilation.
