The Telegraph & Argus is hoping to find Bradford's top tot in our Happy Tots 2008 competition.

Youngsters can be entered in one of the four age categories - newborn to six months, six to 12 months, one to two years and two to three years.

The Telegraph & Argus has teamed up with the Kirkgate Centre, Bradford, and BCR Photographic to provide some great prizes.

The winning tot in each category will receive a framed portrait and the overall winner will get £500 in vouchers to spend at Bradford's Kirkgate Centre.

Pictures of the Happy Tots will appear in the T&A during March, together with instructions on how to vote for your favourite baby.

There is no charge for the photograph to be taken or for entry into the competition.

There was tremendous support for last year's competition, with thousands of votes cast.

Last year's winner was Mikey Jones, who was four months old at the time. The bouncing baby beat a thousand rivals to be voted the district's happiest tot.

Mikey's mum Suzanne Frear, 28, of West Royd Crescent, Shipley, said she was amazed. She said: "I can't believe that we've won this. Saying that, he's always happy and always has a smile on his face."

Sophie Taylor, of Brow Lane, Shelf, was the winner of the six to 12 months category.

Amy Denise Singleton, of Kingsdale Crescent, Bolton, was the winner of the one to two years category. And Ariana Ljimani, of Kenley Parade, in Horton Bank Bottom, Bradford, won the two to three years category.

Parents or guardians should take their children to the Kirkgate Centre from Monday, January 21, to Saturday, January 26, and from Monday, January 28, to Saturday, February 2, from 10am to 5pm, to be photographed.

From Thursday, February 7, to Saturday, February 9, from 10am to 5pm, parents and guardians will be asked to return to the Kirkgate Centre to choose the photos they would like to be published in the T&A and enter their children in the competition.

A choice of one of three images will be available and the photographs can be bought at a range of prices.

Parents should complete an entry form that will be printed in the T&A and hand it over when they return to choose photographs. If you do not return to select your baby's photograph to appear in the T&A, it will not be entered into the competition.

All the entrants' photographs will be published in the T&A, when readers will be invited to vote for their favourite baby.
