A man called LEWIS Hamilton is due in court next week charged with speeding offences in Bradford almost two years ago.
He is up accused of four offences and due in court on October 4; being caught driving at 63mph on the M62 between Junctions 27 and 28 westbound on October 22, 2019, while a temporary 40mph limit was in place, and speeding – 36mph in a 30mph zone – in Bradford Road, Huddersfield on November 5, 2019.
Both offences involve a Chrysler 300C, and he is also charged with two offences of failing to give information relating to the identity of a driver to police when required, on December 4 and 19, 2019.
The trial is due to take place at Kirklees Magistrates' Court on October 4.
And no, it’s not that Lewis Hamilton. It’s a Mr Hamilton, 29, of South Lane Gardens, Elland, not the multiple Formula 1 world champion and reigning BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
Sir Lewis Hamilton is 36-years-old and lives in Monaco, and categorically was not caught speeding in West Yorkshire in 2019.
