POLICE had to be called this evening after firefighters came under attack while attending a job.
Crews were called to a kitchen fire on Rokeby Gardens at around 5.50pm, but had to request police back-up.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called shortly after 6pm today (Wednesday, 29 September) to Rokeby Gardens, Eccleshill.
"It was reported that a fire crew had come under attack from a group while dealing with a fire.
"Police are in attendance and enquiries are ongoing."
