STAFF at a Bradford company completed a coastal trek to raise funds for charity.
Members of Regal Foods, whose headquarters is in Wallis Street, travelled to the popular North Yorkshire resort of Whitby to take part in the Marie Curie 12-mile Whitby Coastal Trek.
The walk followed the old railway track that ran along the coast to Scarborough before it was closed in 1965.
In the village of Robin Hood’s Bay the walk joined the Cleveland Way along the cliffs to return to Whitby.
The trek came to a close with a descent of the town’s famous the 199 steps below Whitby Abbey, close to where Bram Stoker’s Dracula reached England’s shores in the classic 1897 novel.
The team raised a staggering £1,430 for the Marie Curie Hospice in Maudsley Street, Bradford.
“Marie Curie Bradford is a local hospice that Regal Foods and its team continue to support through various fundraising events,” said a company spokesperson.
“It was a great achievement for team Regal which will help make a difference to local people living with a terminal illness and their families.”
