A POLICE investigation is underway after a teenager was stabbed in an altercation in a Bradford park.
Emergency services were called to Horton Park, Horton Park Avenue, at around 5.50pm on Monday following reports that a group of around six males were seen running with weapons.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "A 14-year-old boy suffered a stab wound to his lower back during the altercation and was taken to hospital. His injuries are not considered life threatening.
"The remaining individuals made off on foot out of the park towards Southfield Lane, Powell Avenue and Horton Park Avenue.
"Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward who may have seen the altercation or the individuals prior to the incident or immediately after.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Bradford CID on 101, quoting crime reference number 13210492788.
"Alternatively, you can report the incident anonymously by contacting the charity Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111."
