These graphic headlines show that the Telegraph & Argus has been at the forefront of the murder coverage for the past 20 years.
From the grim night of the execution-style killing in October, 2001, to the newspaper breaking the exclusive story that Ricardo Linton was wanted by West Yorkshire Police in connection with the crime, we have been first with developments in the case.
Steve Wright, who was crime reporter at the paper for 13 years, recalls how Detective Inspector Steve Snow contacted him in 2011 to reveal the Linton link with the ruthless murder.
βIt was a dramatic development in a horrific unsolved murder. Steve and his team of detectives, and myself and the paper, were united in the desire to bring the perpetrator to justice and we were able to help each other in doing so,β Mr Wright said.
