Steve Wright, who was crime reporter at the paper for 13 years, recalls how Detective Inspector Steve Snow contacted him in 2011 to reveal the Linton link with the ruthless murder.
“It was a dramatic development in a horrific unsolved murder. Steve and his team of detectives, and myself and the paper, were united in the desire to bring the perpetrator to justice and we were able to help each other in doing so,” Mr Wright said.
