A FEMALE was seriously injured following a crash on a vital Bradford road over the weekend.
Bradford fire station attended the scene on Tong Street, near Subway, just before 6.40am on Sunday.
A car had gone into the traffic lights and fire crews rescued the woman from the vehicle.
She was then left in the care of the ambulance service and is believed to be in a stable condition.
Firefighters left the scene at around 7.35am that day.
At noon today, a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson provided this update.
They said: "The female victim was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries and was described as being in a stable condition.
"Enquiries into the collision remain ongoing and anyone who saw what took place is asked to contact the Bradford District Police on 101 referencing police log 442 of September 26."
