As September draws to a close, universities and colleges are back in full swing as students return to campus. 

It means that there are lots of free deals around to save you some money, with McDonald's the latest chain to get in on the action. 

A valid student card has been enough to get you a free item in restaurant for a while, but now this deal has been extended to deliveries.

How to claim a free Chicken Mayo, Cheeseburger or McFlurry from McDonald's

There are three ways to claim your free McDonald's item alongside your meal when ordering after 11am.

1. Order at the McDonald's counter

You can order in restaurant at the checkout by showing a valid student card and selecting your free item alongside your order for an Extra Value or Wrap Meal. 

2. Order at the self-checkout 

If you have a valid account with StudentBeans you can order at the self-order checkout. 

Simply log in to your Student Beans account (via the app) and click McDonald’s instore offer.

You will then receive an ID & QR code to scan at the self-order kiosk in the restaurant.

Select your free item and the discount will be applied automatically.

3. Order for delivery 

Now you can order your free item on delivery, but you will need the My McDonald's app. 

To order your free item, log into Student Beans and click McDonald’s online offer.

You can then paste that code into your My McDonald’s app (Go to the More tab, Click on Scan Vouchers & Click on ‘tap here to manually enter code) to redeem the free item offer.
