A CAFE created from a storage container could be installed on a Leeds Road car park site if new plans are approved.
A planning application for a cafe has been submitted to Bradford Council by H Rana earlier this month.
The site, next to Papa Cash and Carry, had space for eight cars.
Currently a large section of the site appears to have been dug up - with a shipping container standing to the rear of the car park.
The plans show that the tea shop would front onto Leeds Road, with parking for seven vehicles behind the business.
The modified storage container would be clad in timber and would serve “take away only.”
The planning application says it will create one full time job and two part time jobs, and open from 9am to 11.30pm.
A decision on the application is expected late next month.
Retrospective plans for Chai cafe in Leeds Road car park refused a second time
It is the latest application for a cafe created from a shipping container on Leeds Road.
Two retrospective planning applications for a cafe at the rear of the Orange Street car park have been refused by Bradford Council in the past year.
Officers said the business had led to a loss of spaces in a public car park.
The owners have appealed this decision, arguing that the business has no impact on the public car park. A decision on whether that business can remain on site now lies with a Government appointed planning inspector.
