A MAN has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a crash with a lorry on a ring road.
West Yorkshire Police was called at 5.40am today to reports of a collision involving a male and a lorry on the westbound carriageway of the A6110 Ring Road, near Farnley.
It was between the road's junctions with Stonebridge Lane and Tong Road.
The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
A police cordon is in place and the Ring Road is shut while officers conduct collision investigation work.
This is causing congestion to build, with traffic also queueing in the opposite direction due to onlookers.
