360 Secure Systems, Pennine Plus and Winder Carpets are finalists in the Family Business of the Year category at the Bradford Means Business Awards 2021
360 Secure Systems
The Bradford-based firm supplies and installs CCTV systems across West Yorkshire.
Having been established in 2019, the firm offers CCTV video security solutions that are innovative, smart and designed to deter theft and fraud, provide high-quality surveillance data, and allow distance viewing on smart devices.
Without an office, the mobile firm looks to establish trust with potential clients by inviting them to the owner’s own home.
In less than three years of operation the business, which employs a number of family members, has already scooped one award.
Pennine Plus
The electrical products firm started out more than 40 years ago as an aerial installation and television repair company.
It has now evolved into what Pennine Plus is today, selling a variety of laundry, refrigeration, dishwashers, cookers and televisions, alongside the original services.
As an independent firm they offer an unashamedly old fashioned approach to business and customer interaction - hoping to keep customers coming back to deal with the company again.
In addition to “looking after the people that need looking after” Pennine Plus is a dementia friendly store.
Winder Carpets
This long-established family firm was started in the 1960s by the father of the current owner.
Specialising in all types of installations, the company has a wide range of floor finishes at its showroom at Five Lane Ends.
From leading carpet brands to alternative flooring products, such as contemporary wood, laminate and luxury vinyl, the firm takes on residential and commercial projects, including specialist works at stately homes and hotel chains.
Owner Paul Winder says it is their service and “knowing it will be done right and to a high quality standard” that sees customers choosing their firm.
