A MAN died after having a "medical episode" at a reservoir over the weekend, West Yorkshire Police has confirmed today.
The man was seen by a bystander receiving medical attention from paramedics, following the incident at Warley Moor Reservoir, not far from Oxenhope, on Sunday afternoon.
A boat had capsized, according to eyewitness reports, before emergency services attended the scene.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said today: "At 3.27pm on Sunday, police received a report of a man having what was believed to be a medical episode at Warley Moor Reservoir.
"Emergency services attended, but the man was sadly pronounced deceased a short time later.
"There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances around the man’s death and a file has been prepared for the coroner."
A bystander commented: "I saw CPR being performed on a man who was dragged out of Warley Moor Reservoir after his boat capsized on Sunday afternoon. He appeared to be unconscious.
"An ambulance turned up, then two police cars as well and the air ambulance. They did not make a quick exit."
