PLANS to turn a former Wickes unit into Bradford's newest Homebase store have been submitted to Bradford Council.
Last month the homeware and gardening giant announced that it would be opening a new branch in the Enterprise 5 retail park at Five Lane Ends.
Now a planning application has been submitted to Bradford Council for new Homebase signage at Unit 4, one of the buggest units at the site. It is the former Wickes unit which has most recently been used by not for profit organisation Newlands Furniture Service.
Huge former Wickes unit at retail park could be used for leisure
Last year, at the start of the Covid Pandemic, a planning application to allow leisure use at the same unit was approved by Bradford Council.
Homebase has said that the 34,500 sq. ft store at Enterprise 5 will also include a 10,000 sq. ft. garden centre, and is expected to open for business later this year.
The chain previously had a Bradford store on Harrogate Road, which closed in 2018.
