Armed officers descended on Claremont Grove and arrested a 16-year-old male in connection with the incident, which has left residents feeling "shocked" and "worried".
The victim was taken to hospital, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, West Yorkshire Police said.
Today, those living in the area gave their reaction to what happened.
One resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said: "I'm shocked, we all are. To hear about this happening on your doorstep is very concerning.
"I'm scared to go out, given what has happened. We're worried that this is going to become a regular thing, and we would hate for that to happen.
"It is normally a quiet area, so again it's really shocking to know that this has gone on here."
One owner of a local shop, who lives nearby and has relatives living on Claremont Grove, added: "This is the second incident of its kind that has happened in the area in as many months. It's getting a little silly now, it's as simple as that.
"I don't think it is connected to the last incident, it could be isolated, but this isn’t something that’s going to go away quickly.
"You get good and bad in every town, I still love Pudsey and wouldn’t move out for the world, but our local councillors need to step up and do something, in my opinion.
“I think if you look at the country as a whole, violent incidents and knife crime are now becoming a thing with younger people. It’s a country-wide issue.
“I don’t live far from here, and I have relatives living on Claremont Grove. I called them last night and told them to lock their doors.
“I think in years gone by, you wouldn’t have associated something like this with the area, but these days, it is more common.
“However, the area is still very nice, and the community is fabulous. We always look out for each other here in Pudsey.”
