A KEIGHLEY man has appeared in court for a number of shop thefts and an assault charge.
Neil Wong, 40, of South Street, was handed a community order, which included a four-month nightly curfew, for a number of offences.
He was ordered to pay £68 compensation for stealing two bottles of Champagne, worth a total of £68, from Sainsbury’s, Cavendish Street, Keighley, on August 4, 2021.
Wong was ordered to pay £92 compensation for stealing razor blades, worth a total of £92, from Morrisons, Worth Way, Keighley, on August 3, 2021.
He was ordered to pay £60 compensation for stealing four jars of coffee, worth a total of £16, from Poundland, Airedale Shopping Centre, Keighley, on July 20, 2021.
He was given no separate penalty for a charge of stealing four jars of coffee, worth £16, from Poundland, Airedale Shopping Centre, Keighley, on July 19, 2021.
Wong was ordered to pay £60 compensation for stealing three jars of coffee, worth £13, from Poundland, Airedale Shopping Centre, on July 19, 2021.
He was given no separate penalty for stealing washing up pods, worth £15, from Poundland, Airedale Shopping Centre, Keighley, on April 10, 2021.
He was also ordered to pay £50 compensation for a charge of assault by beating, which took place at Poundland, Airedale Shopping Centre, Keighley, on April 10, 2021.
Wong pleaded guilty to all charges when he appeared at Bradford & Keighley Magistrates' Court on August 18, 2021.
